Our grass-fed beef comes from native breed, free range Cattle, dry-aged in our himalayan salt block chamber for a minimum of 14 days to achieve a greater depth of flavour, tenderness and all-round eating quality. All beef is produced locally, enabling us to keep full control over the source of our meat and to guarantee the very best in quality.
One of the reasons we stay ahead of our competitors in the Harrogate area is down to our grass-fed beef and our specialty bone broth. We personally select pigs from our local source in Easingwold to guarantee succulent, flavoursome pork. Pork is available in joints, chops and steaks, and we use the same premium quality meat in our role as an award-winning butcher, particularly in our sausages, bacon, gammon and pies. Our prize-winning lambs are home-reared and finished locally at a farm close to our premises on the edge of The Dales. All our bacon are butchered & cured in house from outdoor reared pigs from easing wold (see pork). We do not use any phosphates in the curing process so no water trapped in the bacon & it can air dry naturally, like real bacon should.
All our gammons are cured the same way as the bacon producing great results every time
All our chicken comes from a local supplier, reared without the use of artificial hormones or growth promoters, not pumped full of stuff, just good tasty chicken.
